I posted a follow up to this video where I compare the Huntsman Mini to a clicky keyboard that I built that is cheaper, more stable and faster. I compare the typing sounds as well.

In this video, we unbox the Razer Huntsman Mini- Mercury (White) Edition with the Purple Clicky Switch. I also give my thoughts on this 60 percent keyboard.

You can buy it at Razer's website (though I hope you won't) link below!
I have decided NOT to use affiliate links since it presents a conflict of interest since I would get money if you buy a product I review. This way, you know that I am honestly speaking about what I think on the video. You may not agree with me, but I can assure you I'm not trying to sell you stuff that I don't approve of. You can help me by subscribing if you like the video.

I agree that its a little overpriced, but its a first 60% gaming keyboard from a mainstream gamimg brand, so its pretty cool still

"clunky and noisy" - the most accurate description of the switch feel i've heard

finally an honest review on this board. its nice to see mainstream companies producing smaller form factor boards but 140 usd is unjustifiable considering you can get everything this board offers elsewhere for a much cheaper pricetag

They really should have made the price maybe $100 for the clicky purple switches because then it could actually be able to compete with the ducky one two mini

I recently got the linear versions with very low expectations. Surprised that the wobbles were minimized, keys are a bit more stable than the one you have here, the noise is almost gone and, overall, feels really solid. Really liked this one. Let me know if you'd be able to test it.

Dang, I wish you could have done the review for the Razer Huntsman Mini linear version :( At least you are kinda like BadSeed Tech and Razer sent them the Razer Huntsman Mini linear option to do the review, since the Razer Huntsman Mini linear option is what i wanted, anyway, great video!

Great review my guy!

Loved the way you laid out the points, keep it up.

I'd personally also maybe go with a Ducky or Durgod if the option is there. The problem is that a lot of high quality enthusiast style boards being mass produced are more often than not, unavailable

Ironic how keycap stability is still wobbly when there are stabilizers on the switches. If they do care about the boards they should scrap that design entirely and make a new one.

I think you just saved me from spending money on this keyboard! I've been looking for a 60% (even a 75%) keyboard for a while now, just to go smaller than my TKL right now.

I primary like the smoothness of the switches but pricing is quite high. If you are looking for this switches you can look after (bloody/a4tech) light strike libra although they do tot offer the "silenced" version of the red ones. Also the first gen of their optical switches does not have.those stabs on every key.

Thank you for this review that wakes me up and decided not to buy it because I agree with all of your points. thanks a lot :)

The premium is: reliable switches, aluminum top plate, some of the best double shot keycaps. But I do think that it should include a keycap puller, better stabilizers, and some extra green or red accent keys.

I personally own the Huntsman Elite which is part of the Huntsman family of course. And I gotta say, is a really good keyboard, the switches are the same as this one. And they're so fast, and I like the clicky sound, however, is a little bit loud and if you're one of those customers who don't like that sound, this Purple switches will give you a bad time. The customization is amazing from Synapse 3, the Huntsman is the best for having really bright and vibrant colors but, on my opinion, I don't like the Keycaps because they hide a lot of color from the keyboard, but still is pretty bright.

On the other side, that's a little bit overpriced compared to other keyboards, but I believe that you're paying a well made and great keyboard, and this one is not exception. So if you're new just like myself months ago, I don't recommend you to go and made this your first keyboard since it's a little bit pricey, but if have a little bit of money to spend on a Keyboard, any of the Huntsman family are not going to disappoint you.

Btw, good video! 👏
