Complete Goldfish Tank Makeover

Hi folks, I cleaned the tank, now it looks very pretty.

I always used to clean the filter with fresh water started to clean with the same water as the tanks thanks for the advice

So, I like under gravel filters. Your opinion on those? Also, don’t your fish catapult themselves out onto the floor? Where do you get those baskets you pothos are in and what kind of medium do they grow in? What was you GPA?

I’m my case, in Costa Rica… i don’t use that amount of filtration or sponge filters. I use two Dophin 500 and I was not able to make work a 1000 and it was very very clean and the height of the flute of the canisters was at the correct height (1-2cm) and they were making a column of oxígeno with so tiny bubbles that it was fantastic until I decided to do a over head filter with 14K cm3 of space, worst decision ever on this. The pressure on the fall is not good enough to make a good water movement.

Funny thing about this was that I did a pre-filter with one Dophin 500 with only sponges, nahh, does not move water that good but a power head + that pod filter was amazing

Thanks. Don't your goldfish tear up the roots of the plants? Mine do and I had to put a separate planter for the water to flow through, get filtered & flow back to the tank.

Congratulations on finishing your schooling, now on for your Masters. I love your tank and fish, I was looking at those light's the other day and you have convinced me. I was also checking out the food, it's a great combo with those light's. Just one question, how many gallon's is the tank?
