I want something where I can be lazy, never have to take responsibility and can push off all my faults onto those beneath me. Ahh I see "middle management" is open! That'll do nicely.

I'm just getting in IT, only have few months experience as PC Technician 6 years ago, total of 1 year experience as helpdesk 12 years ago, have been studying network my own and at school (also my humble personal lab with only a switch, a KVM, one desktop PC and 2 laptops), I have good personal experience as a frontend developer as well. I studied the whole course to take the A+ exam, but I'm not taking the exam cause it's too expensive.
Anyway, I just got hired to work as Data Center Technician for Amazon, start next Monday. They'll give me around 6 weeks training and it sounds like a great start. I really hope this is just the beginning of my IT career. I'm extremely happy. I expect to get a good network and server experience in order to get into cyber security.
PS. I'll take the Net+ and Sec+ for sure (and maybe the CCNA before going to PNPT and eJPT).

IT has many opportunities for peoples preference, and it's a good career to learn new skills. IT is also very good because people can see what they're good and then choose the roll that they want.
Good video, keep it up.

Best piece of advice is

we don't want to jump

right into certifications we want to

learn some skills first and then start

working on certifications around those

skills

I've seen many videos which mention that CompTIA A+ certification is the best IT entry-level certification for the newbies. Is it true? Or the networking certification such as CCNA is still the best IT entry-level certification? What about Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification? Kindly elaborate. Thanks.

I would love to work in something that allows me to use my creative mindset (visionary). Maybe jobs related to like Creative Director, Content Creator, Marketing, Consumer Behavior stuff, maybe even Graphic Design, UI/UX, Front End Dev to be able to create things people like or see, etc. I’m not really too interested in coding but I know it is a good skill to learn and have because it will take you places, but I personally am not a person that enjoys being part of the process to make things work, rather I am the one that likes to be creative with my ideas and tell them to people and kind of be in the process of the making. Basically, I don’t want to do the work of developing my ideas but I probably wouldn’t mind if I have to also do part of the work to make my ideas come to life.

EDIT: here’s some context

I am a computer science major at the moment and I am confused whether I should make the switch to MIS or idk maybe IT, because I originally wanted to become a business major. Now I’m introduced to the very technological side of computer science, I am like 50/50 with my decision now. I really was drawn to business because I feel very business minded as a person, but now I am not too sure and am really confused. I am scared that if I major in something that isn’t computer science, and instead something more business focused, I might regret my switch later on in the future.

Great and insightful video.
Quick question: I am a senior at a university, majoring in IT. However, I am yet to gain hands-on experience, a had an internship but it was rescinded due to COVID. Where should I start? I am interested in networking, with the chance of going into cybersecurity. I want hands on, I want experience. Thank you!

PS: earned my sub !
