Honestly stuff like this is why I love watching Bluey with my kids. Bluey really reminds me of some of the cartoons I watched when I was young it can touch on deeper subjects in a way that can appeal to kids without dumbing it down for them and without needing to be just mindless fluff to keep their attention.

The kids flashback made my Mom cry and I never knew why. She was just really touched and had happy tears. I remember asking her what best gift I ever gave her, she said, "You, you were always the gift I wanted since I was a little girl."

I was a premature baby too so it was nice seeing that depicted with so much respect in a children’s show. All of the examples given were shown with respect. Love this show. 🩵

They didnt need to make betty any more of a strong woman. She raised twins as a first time mom and didnt even know she was pregnant if her lines in the movie is to be believed. Howard (in the original show) bagged a friggin amazon.

I guess a lot went over my head as a kid, but this show was still good. The writers & animators clearly poured their hearts into this episode.
It sucks that so many kids shows don’t put in any effort to tell meaningful little stories like this. Just because something is for kids, doesn’t mean it should be dumbed down
