Why STELLARATORS are the future of Fusion Energy

The tokamak has been the dominant design for fusion reactors for the past few decades, but recent advances in stellarator technology may soon relegate it to history.

Stellarators have several advantages over tokamaks, and many experts believe they are the future of fusion energy. Watch this video to learn more about the science behind stellarators and why they may be our best hope for a clean and sustainable source of energy.

I love the audio design of your video, how do you find these audios or are you making them yourself?

Wow, it is really interesting. And the video is awesome

The fact that this hasn't got 100K likes 💔

Tokamak are the "brute force" approach & great to narrow down the science!

but my bet is on the Stellerators as useful future device!, after we figure out & really deeply understand whats needed/going-on in there 😅

I liked the fonts used in this video.. can you name them...here.

I support stellarators, but it's misleading to compare Wendelstein 7X with ITER. In fact it can't be even compared with the venerable JET. W-7X isn't designed to achieve the densities or temperatures of the latter, or to work on deuterium-tritium reactions. It's role is to demonstrate that it can have as good transport as tokamaks, and operate for longer periods. However, a stellarator that can be compared to JET or ITER in terms of performance, measured by the triple product of density x ion temperature x energy confinement time, is still to be built. There are several private companies and research labs working on that.

Yeah they did. They got all the attention that they needed

The US Navy has registered a Patent for a fusion device.

Not quite a fair comparison.
Iter is designed for enery priduction. Wendelstein is far too smal for that.

It looks suspiciously like those UFOs from that Navy videos. >.<

Neither system is truly viable in the long run. They rely too much on a 2 d circular shape instead of a sphere. While a sphere would be harder to control due to timing issues it would produce far more power at greater effecincies

Fusion research a waste of money
Thorium MSR is the future.
