New to the channel. Like your honest approach to golf and it's endless YouTube videos. Playing off 14 at the moment after taking up golf at 59... But I can get your laid back advice easier than most. Cheers mate.

Have had 4 different shots using the clock system for each of my wedges for over 20 years, it is imperative to have a good idea of what a 9 o'clock swing produces versus 11 o'clock, you are spot on

When I was off 14, I bought myself a lovely set of VEGA wedges. They drove the thought process of creating even yardages with the 50 and odd with the 54. It wasn't a perfect system, but now I'm off 9, and put it down to first buying some nice wedges, and practicing with them instead of hitting 120 7 irons at the range.

This reinforces what I know I have to work on. My iron full shots are pretty good, but the closer I get to the hole the less capable I become of hitting the yardages I need to score well. I will be taking your technique to the range soon (tomorrow?). B-T-W, I use the Cleveland CBX 2 wedge (now the CBX 4 in their wedge offerings.).

Love your instruction! The shorter it is, the easier to digest unlike the 12 minute or more instructions where the instructors toot their own horn for the first 3 minutes.

I was wondering if you could do a video on lie angles. I was fitted for some irons, say 2* up but the fitter saw I would choke down a bit on my clubs so he gave me a half inch longer and 1* upright. I’m not sure if that made any sense but the shots were going straight. Does what the fitter did make sense?

All good, all nice in perfect conditions … another ball game in wet and windy weather conditions 😉

Coming from a par three nine hole type background for the first few years of golf wedge play was my main focus so i can basically ‘feel’ every shot from 100 yrds without really changing my swing or doing clockwork, i just eyeball the flag and hit that distance .
I do however always use the same ball, even the same number lol, im a bit spectrum about it 🤷🏻‍♂️
Good videos btw im enjoying them a lot 👍 l+s’d
