Fun fact about Deimos. When you track someone you can spam the ability key to cancel it once it starts and it’ll show you where they are for a second and not show them where Deimos is. This is handy if you are near site and want to see if someone’s in there but not show your entry. Or if tracking a roamer but not wanting to show them that you’re near by.

Tbh, Deimos is a bit like an alt version of Jackal.

Both track Defenders. Both methods of tracking reveal their own position in some fashion (Deimos' pings, Jackal following footprints).

The real divergence is that only Deimos can SEE the Defender's position, and the player had to relay that info to his team manually. Plus he's locked into his revolver.

Super cheese but BIG TIP : When doing duo queue, stream your gameplay so your duo can see your screen and wallbang etc lol

What i hate of deimos players is that most of them never drone on the prep phase. I mean, Deimos is the one who needs scan the enemy ops. It's really annoying how they watch tiktok and don't do anything else.

some tips for countering deimos

1. if you stand on a mute jammer your position isnt revealed

2. if you switch as skopos he stops tracking you

3. vigils ability counters deimos tracking you

Seems around the same difficulty as Cavi just with an additional step, droning and extremely smarter gameplay compared to Cavi who has silent step to muffle her movement sounds then you have to knock an attacker to interrogate in order to ping other ops on the attacker side.

I'm interested to see how many good Demos players will raise since cavi has many.

you say defenders will know your general area but its more precise to say they will know your inmediate previous position. they know the exact same spot where u are unless you move and change your position.

I know for anyone who already saw how it looks like from a defender pov they would understand the video, but the ones who didnt may think something different

I usually just go shotgun, pull out my pistol and almost ace every round by waiting until close combat to pull out the shotgun. I only use the Deimos scan at the end when there are 1 or 2 left.

I lost to a legal cheats attacking comp. All they had to do was have Deimos relay their location and then the team use entry fraggers, including Dokkaebi with the SMG-12, to speed run.
