In my opinion I'm still with the wolf theory where Deimos is apart of the Wolves, main reason is because the Wolves were all former special operations soldiers who broke off with Walker who was an ex ghosts and we know that the ghost recon universe and the rainbow Six universe and the splinter cell universe are all intertwine so maybe after Walker's death some wolves broke off due to new leadership. The whole entire look of Deimos is definitely one of a wolves from the mask and killer cape. But that's my thought

I think (and I hope) that Deimos is one of the characters from the novel which this franchise was made of. UBI taking Tom Clancy's work so much that they need at least a character from the novel to be represented
