Paradox Interactive Acquires Harebrained Schemes

Paradox Interactive just acquired Harebrained Schemes, the developers behind Shadowrun Returns and the recently released Battletech. It's an example of a positive acquisition, unlike EA's business model of shutting down studios they buy.

I'm surprised that Harebrained Schemes would choose to sell to anyone, when they're just coming into their own, but I agree that selling to Paradox is not scary to gamers the way selling to EA some of the other big publishers would be.

Thanks for the summary of gaming news, because I don't have the time or inclination to keep up with it all. This is excellent because I really am enjoying Battletech because it brings me back to the board game version vs. FPS mech combat. With this capital investment I look forward to tonnes of DLC for the game to expand the universe. Hopefully they make it possible to control a Company of Mechs.
