Awesome Gorillaz song. As others have said, Shaun Ryder is the Happy Mondays' frontman but he was also in Black Grape, whose first album was great. And in terms of Damon Albarn, Blur have loads of great stuff - I think you'd like "Coffee & TV", which is actually mainly sung by guitarist Graham Coxon.
