Charges for immigration appeals should be 'raised,' says former Labor MP

Former Labor MP Michael Danby thinks there is a place for skilled migration but charges should be “raised" for immigration appeals.

“I think it’s too simple, it’s too inexpensive,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Don’t make re-appeals so cheap that people just keep doing it.”

Spouse visa fees should be reduced dramatically. Currently $8000, payable in advance, 2 years to process and no refund if denied. Meanwhile "refugees" get everything handed to them on a platter
