Most of our fleet is early 00s diesels. Got a 99 7.3 powersmoke with well over half a million on it and an 04 Cummins with 400k. That era was the peak of trucks

My first truck Was a 1991 S10 with a 4.3L V6, 5 Speed 4X4 Extended cab. I still drive it to this day.

I have a 2012 Silverado 4x4 WT (work truck). Manual transfer case, power locks and windows, not much else. It was well-under $40K new and it’s been paid off for years. It pulls trailers, hauls lumber, carts around lawn care gear, and gets me to and from work daily. Pretty much as close to a “farm truck” as one can get nowadays.

Blame the car manufactures for making luxury trucks instead of pickup trucks, and then blame the thousands of people for buying their trucks year after year for 40, 000$ when the truck alone is worth 20.

My father owned a 96 Chevy, it was a simple single cab truck, 2wd 4.3 V6. Even in the cold winters of northern Canada 🇨🇦, the truck always ran like a clock. True testament of what GMC used to be. They sure don’t make em like they used to, he ain’t lying about the body going before the motor or transmission.

We have an 80s ranger on our property with unknown mileage. Beat to hell, dented, no tail lights but it fires right up, even without the key 😅

I have an 04 Silverado 2500 wt (work truck) 4x4 . Has 6.0 liter gas, automatic trans. Got rubber floor mats A/C cruise control. Got a flatbed on it with BW flip over 5th wheel ball and it's perfect for me. Bought it new and now has 197000 trouble free miles other than motor mounts and tie rod ends.

In '83 the s-10 had sluggish 2.8, the 4.3 wasn't available until '88.

I have an S10, 4.3/5spd, ZQ8. All original, no rust, never wrecked, never chopped up or bagged. Xtreme baby!

I still run a 92 F-150. Standard cab, long bed, 4x4, manual transmission, inline 6. Without all the emissions garbage clogging the exhaust it sounds like a tractor.

Ya, My 99.5 7.3 1 ton dually. Pulls anything. No EPA bullshit. Just runs and runs. I'll never get rid of it.

I had a ‘93 s-10 blazer as my first car… absolutely loved it. Light weight and the 4.3L V6 just powered it over everything.. such a great truck

I liked those mid 1980's Toyota trucks. They were very reliable.

I noticed that nothing makes an old car or truck run better than pricing a new one.
