The New Klein BAT20-CW Brushless Compact 1/2 inch drive impact wrench.
This an unboxing and review of the Klein Tools 1/2 inch drive impact wrench that uses the Dewalt 20v battery. This video will cover all the features of the impact wrench and what I like and dislike about the Klein 1/2 inch drive impact wrench. The main thing I don't like is that you have to purchase a Dewalt battery and charger for the Klein impact wrench. If you do have Dewalt tools would you purchase this Klein BAT20-CW Brushless compact 1/2 inch drive impact wrench?

This is interesting. When Klein first launched their cordless tool platform, it was all licensed and rebranded DeWalt 20v tools. Now it looks like there are tools in the lineup that there are no DeWalt (or any Stanley Black and Decker) equivalent of.

That includes this compact 1/2 impact featured here the BAT20CW, but upon further inspection on Klein's website I also see a right angle impact wrench too, Model BAT20LW that I don't know of another SBD brand that has that. The 90 degree impact is utility focused with the square drive but it says it has the adapter to use with regular sockets as well.

Its been known the at MAC automotive power tools are mostly rebrands or slight variations of other Dewalt 12v and 20v tools, with some MAC exclusive tools, like the 12v ratchet. But the thing is that MAC is under the SBD umbrella and Klein is not. I find it unlikely Klein is developing and producing these tools on their own so maybe we'll see these Klein battery tools with DeWalt colors soon enough....then again, does DeWalt really need this Compact 1/2in impacts in their lineup? The DeWalt DCF894 Mid-range impact has slightly better torque specs then the Klein BAT20CW. Hard to tell their size differences though the BAT20CW does look smaller than the DCF894.

What's the point of buying Klein tools to need dewalt batteries? Might as well get dewalt instead as the whole kit.

I wouldn’t buy it if I had to buy the battery separately.

For that kind of money AND not even rebranding the battery to say Klein tools I don't think it's worth it. If they were going to partner with a 3rd party to use an existing battery there should be cost savings on the product. None of these manufactures actually *make* their own batteries, they all get them from suppliers anyways

I would not buy it. You are buying the tool the battery should come with it.
