Hedging is to keep both of the positions, while one is in losses, the other one is in profit, take profit where it will start to change direction and your losses decreases or possible you also profit.

Why keep talking about stop loss when the main story line is HEDGING...

Hedging will make you crazy, because you always not sure where you want the market goes to. Just stick on your initial position and be patient or do averaging with the same direction. That's my opinion

There are so many videos out there that teach you how to lose money but this one is the best one because it teaches you how to lose money even faster. Thanks bro. I really appreciate you ❤

why not short and long from the same position? so that which ever direction it moves you can lock in profits and and move SL of the losing trade?

if you hedge the NFP on both side you will not get filled with the price you want in most cases. most likely you order will be filled only after the price jump 20 pipes away. Slippage will definitely kill you.

if spread increases or market moves sideway both Stop Loss hits. In fact most of the times when you place a trade it hits both SL because you place SL very close.

You’re missing the hedging part of this strategy.

I’m not a financial advisor either.

But I don’t think this is hedging, I think this is changing direction.

How about if price goes up and hit your stop loss and enter long and price moves back down to hit stop loss on your long ?! you will lose everything !

Possibly the worst "hedge" I've ever seen in my life

What happens if it goes up stops out your short and then snaps back down as an inverted hammer and goes lower? I could see this happening. Never mind I see haha

That's crazy I've been doing this in my trading strategy but I didn't know it was hedging. I've heard of the word hedging but I've never understood it or really looked into it too much. now that I looked into it more a la this video I realize...
I'm brilliant!

In this instance, looks like the market is in a consolidation, so might at well buy/sell at the same prices, closing at resistance/support once you confirm price is going to reverse, maybe adding another position and closing the initatial position at B/E.

I used this strategy especially during london and ny session. It's really profitable.
