Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. It was not the KGB that assassinated the Bulgarian journalist, it was Bulgaria's own equivalent of the KGB known as Darzhhavna Sigurnost. The Bulgarians have a long history of assassins, such as the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization which would carry out political assassinations for about $20 each.
