How To Inspect and Dip Coral for Parasites/ Pests

Almost exactly the same procedure as I do, only I use CoralRX dip.

The reason why I use it is because it does not contain iodide, but rather a "proprietary blend of natural extracts" (info on the bottle). This means that A it's not harmful for the tank if you accidentaly introduce some dip into it and B it will be less hard on your coral and good invertebrates (e.g. feather dusters).

It's also good to gently scrub zoas with a toothbrush outside the water :)

Not like a laser. Like a light with a red bulb. Most pests will not react to it so its easier to find pests.

All that uve said about the issues with zoas and palytoxins (wearing gloves and glasses etc.) yet in this video you used your bare hands. Practice what you preach my friend. You should be wearing gloves with Zoas. Some of them are very toxic and can put you in the ER.
