Todd Friel, host of Wretched Radio, gave a presentation on how to sort through the issue of "mandated v's." Dr. James White took issue with Friel, particularly in regard to how Friel interprets and applies passages such as Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2, which talk about submitting to governing authorities as Christians.

This is not rebellion against lawful authority. This would be an example of a free people refusing to go along with their own enslavement."- Doug Wilson. And I totally agree.

In the United States of America, The Constitution is the governing authority for our country and any elected official that deviates from it, is out of line and should not be followed.

"Mandates" are not "laws". I don't really understand why people don't get that. "Mandates" are what dictators issue. "Laws" are what ELECTED OFFICIALS agree upon at the behest of the PEOPLE that THEY "represent".

I disagree with Todd, but still love his show. Bottom line, render unto caesar what is caesar's and my body is not caesar's. My body belongs to God and God has complete jurisdiction over everything.

This was a government mandate--> "Your Majesty has issued a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the image of gold." Daniel 3;10

If it's a command to do something that violates your conscience, then for you, it's a command to sin.

As a constitutional Republic, our authority as well as our rulers authority is the constitution. So would it be us going against our authority or them?

Reminds me of Paul’s word regarding those who lack faith to eat foods from idol sacrifices. To those who are weak it is sin. Same can be applied to Todd’s argument here. If one can’t take the vax in faith-it is sin to them. The logic then follows- if it’s a sin then Romans 13 does not apply.

I had to take a break from wretched due to this. The V passports check too many boxes for me, and it's clear that is where the mandate is headed, and the social credit score thereafter. Todd has turned a blind eye to discernment on this issue, maybe due to his germophobic tendencies. Besides that, supporting corruption and overreach is not the same as obeying the law.

If they develop a vaccine with long term studies that does not have any ties to immoral practices such as abortion, I would seriously consider taking it.

Just the fact that this has become such a big issue in the church demonstrates that the American church has completely lost its mind, and lost its way.

My position is do what YOU think is best. No one should be discriminated against for not taking the V, it should be about choice. I’ve chosen to have the V.

I totally appreciated both sides. Even though one irked me because it didn’t jive with my understanding. That being said, as you’ve said Mr Frisch, it’s not an easy thing and we do need to think on these things. I’m know with me when I was researching and praying into all this mess, one scripture kept coming up in the oddest places and ways.

My thoughts are this: if a brother or sister decide to take or not to take, rather than shaming them for their decision, we should come along side them regardless and pray with them, encourage them in their decision and life goes on as the Lord has us to live and love one another. ☺️🙏. After all, it’s not about us anyways. 😉

This is such a touchy subject! I agree that this is something we each need to pray about and decide for ourselves, seeking to do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord.
After doing so, I have decided not to get the jab. There has been so much blatant, baldface lying to us by our government that I find it not trustworthy. My normal disposition is to be a rule follower, and I still submit to the authority as I have my whole life--I pay taxes, try to not break laws and regulations, etc. However, I have to follow the Truth. If my government is telling me that I must accept 2+2=5, I can't submit. That's what it seems like: obey us because of all these lies we're telling you. No. Loving God and loving my neighbor must involve being truthful.
This is my conclusion and decision. Others will choose differently. May God fill our hearts with wisdom and guide us with his eye!
Love your videos. God bless.

Have to love how Todd's video is still there but James' video is taken down for 'violating' community guidelines. It's this kind of stuff that creates and builds mistrust from people.

Actually James White issue with Todd is that Todd is misinterpreting those verses and he challenging Todd's version of church history.

The elected officials aren't the law, the constitution is the law so if they violate that is them who are breaking the law and not us right?

Government can shut down the building in locked 🔒 downs. But the government doesn’t have rights to shut down the church of believers in Jesus Christ . We as Christians we have rights to fellowship and worship Jesus Christ. Government can’t stop ✋ us worshiping Jesus Christ together in fellowship of worship

I truly appreciate both these guys knowledge and high view of scripture. They’re unparalleled at internet based apologetics and telling the truth.

I’m not gonna lie. I can’t listen to them anymore cause they’ve both become so “snarky” in almost everything they say. It really detracts from the Gospel IMO. (And neither one of them can actually for one sentence to say what they mean they have to pause and stutter around for about 7 min per actual thought)

That beings said. I hope they keep writing books. Cause I’ll read those all day.
