I remember this woman who bought toys for the kids locked up in ICE centers and they wouldn’t allow it. It wasn’t like she was breaking them out. She just wanted them to have something for Christmas.

This made me very emotional because I use to go to an air base to visit the children who have been separated from their families. The stories you hear of their journey are mostly sad and horrible.

God I cried at this. Being a child of immigrants and too see this happen to children hurts. I have a daughter and we're both lucky that we will never go through this. Other parents aren't so lucky. I wish that those who supports this see the heart break children have to go through being away from the parents trying to give them love and a better future.

What bothered me about this scene is that it's a real slap in the face to all the other kids. They're not going to be reunited with their parents and they'll still be locked in that cage after Gabriela leaves. They look so hopeless like "we want out too."

This was a very good episode. Very thought provoking, heartbreaking, and a beautifully written and acted episode. Great to see Carl Weathers’ character from Wolf’s Chicago universe crossover. Tell me that last shot of all the children in the cages looking and Liv’s expression didn’t make you go, ‘What the hell?’ I just love the way we see how Liv looks at things a little differently now since she is a mother. El always used to say you are not a parent when she didn’t quite understand how he let his personal feelings as a parent and protector affect his thinking when dealing with certain cases.
