I have been binge watching all of Saddleback Church sermons. Due to having an autoimmune disease I can’t go to church at this time BUT I tell you these sermons have made an impact in my life. This answered so many questions I've had about prayer. I'm an old believer, but really didn't have a relationship with my father until about a month ago. He allowed tragedy in my life as a wake up call and boy, did HE get my attention. But I know now it is because He loves me and wants to save me from myself. In my new prayer relationship, I'm so overtly emotional that very often, after addressing my father, all I can do is weep. I weep because of the heartache of my loss, because I am humbled before him, because of my fear of the unstable life I have here on earth, because of Jesus enormous sacrifice and, even though I'm told I'm forgiven, I weep for all the things I did wrong, for putting God on the back burner of my life and the hope that Good will still find me worthy. Often, I can't even speak because I'm so emotional and I feel like God won't know what I'm trying to say, because I don't know how to even verbalize all the emotions that well up in me when I come before him. So, thank you, Rick, for this clear explanation and for letting me know that even when I don't have the words, God knows my prayers. Thank you for being His servant and a vessel for His word and teachings. I love you and appreciate you so very much!
