In this journal with me video, I'm turning tag into a tuck spot for my junk journal! It's a quick and easy way to add extra pockets and layers to your pages :)

Junk Journal January is a free month-long challenge to inspire you to create in your junk journal or art journal. It’s a great chance to kickstart your creativity in 2025 with a supportive community and show up to your journal!

How to get involved

Follow the prompt list and create along each day - or pick and choose the prompts that take your fancy. There are no rules! You’re welcome to use the prompts with other types of journaling too.

Creator collaboration

Each day throughout the month, watch a new video from 30 different creators on YouTube. Create a journal page alongside them for the day’s prompt. Videos will appear in the playlist at 12pm (midday) GMT each day from 1 January.

Lovely, Meg! I love the pop of colour on this page. My JJ is small so I made a cluster than I ran under the sewing machine. I made it the tuck spot and it's quite busy so the tiny tag (which has a string attached) is just plain. Possibly awaiting journalling or a phrase or inspiring word. It's all neutral tones so now I'm thinking a floral might be nice. I think it's your birthday today in Australia. Have a great day! 🎂

Your tuck spot is adorable! I usually use tuck spots for little note cards, business cards or 1/2 index cards where I jotted a prayer request or something like that.

A new to me creator Coffee& Creativity did a tuck spot for her Christmas cards ❤ I thought that was a cool idea as its Jan & we get putting away the season and you could have them in your journal in Jan to still enjoy the memories! ♥️

I like to tuck little bits of packaging, clothing tags that I find particularly pretty, random things I find (if they’re not too thick)…. Etc….
