The “degree of rizz” as a phrase somehow encapsulates my horrid humor

I would argue that W is more of a measure of the quality of rizz rather than the amount of

To me W sounds more qualitative rather than quantitative, i kind of justify saying it in my head as if it means “winning rizz” as if the rizz is good enough to win

I thought W is "Winner" and L is "Loser"

W isn't a measure like "outstanding", it's used to describe something good.

ex: "W rizz" = "Good rizz"

Japan had W as "double" for a while. W is a flexible little guy.

Seeing brainrot get looked at critically and not in a sort of meme-y way really weirds me out. God I love linguistics.

You're overlooking the conjugation as simply "winner" and "loser". It might not be "lose pizza" but "LOSER pizza" makes perfect sense

"LOVE, too, is an acronym. It stands for “Level of Violence.” A way of measuring someone's capacity to hurt.”

Id argue that "E" was lexicalized first. "E-mail", "e sports", "e girl".

"You got her number? That is a comparatively impressive amount of rizz! 🧐"

We forget the context in which "W" and "L" is used. The implied "win" or "loss" doesn't refer to the object or the person being described, but instead to it's existence in the implied sense that it is a loss or win for humanity. L pizza means the pizza is an insult to all other pizza's existence, and to us humans which make pizza. It's not simply that the pizza is bad, but it's an ironic hyperbole, meaning that the pizza has degraded the life those who have witnessed it. And conversely it's the same with "w", it's a win for humanity. This is because of how and where it's used, typically in an online setting, involving an influencer and their audience. The appropriation of the term by the audience reflects the original meaning, indicating that the W or L refers to the win or loss of the in-group. It's not just a personal positive or negative, or a descriptor of such, but a communal one, otherwise we'd just say the pizza is bad, bunk, dented, etc.... but L pizza? The pizza is giving society shame, that's what that means

no you're wrong, w does mean win. or more specifically it indicated the idea of winning in the context of the word that it's being applied to. so while as you don't say win, the idea of winning is understood.

I like how he explains things without making them sound bad or stupid. He simply explains what is happening.
