I'm 58, my plastic surgeon said no to 3 out of 4 surgical procedures i thought would be beneficial (brow, lower face & bleph). He said i'll get far better results with TRL laser and injectables. I am a good candidate however for lip lift. Moral of the story, get a consult and find out what's right for you!

I have been going around and around with the decision on whether I want a facelift I’m 57 and don’t look that bad but my life changing moment happened when I was working and a guest came up to me and said I see u all the time your so beautiful I was like wow thank u so much then she said I hope I can age with grace just like you. I think the key is finding a plastic surgeon who is highly respected in the field. I didn’t want to travel, as I assumed I’d be able to find a skilled surgeon in DC. Lazers cannot significantly reshape your jawline or neck - you really need to look at a face/neck lift. I asked my Internist who he’d recommend- as he has a large patient practice and knows people who’ve had facial plastic surgery. It was a place to start. I interviewed - had a face to face consult - with 2 doctors and made my decision. I’m happy I made the decision I did. If I feel I need some additional laser treatments going forward, I know I can see him or a dermatologist who specializes in lazers. The common thread is a highly qualified doctor. His or her vision of a ‘natural’ look is also important. Do your homework and best wishes for a great outcome!
