Undervolt your Ryzen 7 5700X for more FPS and Lower Temperature!

Those Ryzen 5000 CPUs can be quite a bit power hungry if you let them behave like they want to, which is why today we're setting this R7 5700X to be more performing in multithread AND more power efficient, with lower temps and stopping it from overheating. This CPU is great and manages to reach the i7 12700K but tends to overheat.

This also works for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and 5800X

Straight to the point and very clear. I was having temperature issues while running Horizon Forbidden West (temperatures of 75 C with some peaks of 85) in a ryzen 7 5700x. I did the same as you (cores at 40.00 and 1.025) and vuala now it stays at 60 celsius and it still runs smoothly at 90-110 FPS at 1440p, all set in high. Amazing video dude

Reading on reddit the idea I got was that you needed ryzen master and/or curve optimizer, yet remembering my experience with the Phenom II x4, I was sure that it was much easier and could be done via bios.
Fortunately, I didn't give up and following your directions I now have about 15 degrees less!
So thank you very much!

Insane. I had 75-80 celcius when playing cyberpunk and now my cpu is chilling at 55 ingame. No loss of performance, maybe gained a few more frames here and there from this guide. Thanks!

You explained it straight to the point, our specs are the dame, you kept it short, and your accent is nice bro, well earned subscriber.

This is the peak tutorial, every tutorial needs to be like this, straight cut to the point and everything is concise and clear. Btw what is the wattage output before and after for the cpu? And the idle draw?

Hey man thanks. Was not having problems with temps. Getting like 65. Just thought I would try this. Done the 40 with 1.025v. I see no loss in performance but I'm getting like 45 now. Cool stuff

Man thank you very much for this tutorial! My Ryzen 7 5700x due to his boost clock at 4.6GHz in games had like 80-82 degrees. I tried your first method cuz I think for my need 4.0 Ghz are enough and my temperatures are never over 71 degrees, even after 1 or 2 hours of gaming. Maybe later I try your other methods too, cuz I really want to see the differences in temperatures and overall perfomance. Thanks again for this tutorial!

Thank you very much. Done the 40 with 1.025v. System is very stable and temps not even reaching 50 degrees on full load. Cheers!!

what the actual fuck this worked. I just got this CPU today paired with an RTX 3070 and as I was really hype for the performance I was really bummed out about its temps. I was at 80-85 when playing Gotham Knights then after doin this I'm sitting at 65 ingame. This really helped and put my mind at ease. Thank you thank you so much. Subscribed and liked the video for sure, you deserve it.

thanx man, that 44 core ratio with the 1.2v manual is deadly snappy. i got 30 celsius idle/light use
i've settled with 45.5 core ratio with 1.22v for months now. same temp as with 40, 42 or 44 cr, but a bit more performance. cheers again. edit : 47.5 @ 1.28v, easily. same, 29-30C idle. Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE. thanks. 32gb ram, gen4 nvme, rtx 3060, ROG STRIX B550-F

The most helpful channel for me. My temp reaches 85, now only 55. Core ratio 42.00 manual voltage at 1.025, stable for now. But if i run into unstable state i'd be set the voltage to 1.050

Thank you so much, I set the 1.025-40, then it went from shutting down by reaching 100° to 70° max.

Hey great video man straight to the point! In regards to the last overclock you mentioned about the auto cpu clock and 0.075 voltage,
is this the one that is supposed to give the most fps ? Thanks

Here I put -1, 000 and it runs smoothly with the auto clock. Tank you!

I've got about 85 at cinebench multithread, thanks to this tutorial now my r5 5700x reaches about 70 full load and I've got about the same performance, using an evo 212 cooler master and a shitty almost no airflow budget case, ty so much man, really appreciate this easy tutorial
