Boeing To Cancel Starliner After Something Bad With NASA! What Happened...
Canceling Starliner is becoming an increasingly real possibility, and it may not be NASA making the decision—Boeing itself could step away from the program.
But why would Boeing cancel Starliner, and how easy would it be for them to withdraw? What would this mean for NASA and the aerospace industry?
Let’s dive into the reasons and implications in today’s episode of Great SpaceX.
Boeing To Cancel Starliner After Something Bad With NASA! What Happened...
After nearly three months stationed at the International Space Station (ISS), Boeing's Starliner capsule finally returned to Earth—without its crew onboard. Despite Boeing and NASA labeling the return as a success, it’s difficult to ignore the reality: leaving astronauts stranded in orbit is a glaring failure. This event further erodes public and industry confidence in Boeing’s Starliner program, which has already been plagued by delays, technical issues, and significant setbacks. Worse yet, Boeing itself appears increasingly frustrated with the Starliner system. All signs suggest that the project may soon come to an embarrassing and premature end, with Boeing potentially deciding to cancel the Starliner program altogether.
Boeing To Cancel Starliner After Something Bad With NASA! What Happened...
Boeing’s growing dissatisfaction with Starliner was made clear following the recent landing. In what should have been a routine press conference with NASA, no Boeing officials attended—a highly uncharacteristic move. Press briefings are standard practice after significant missions, providing an opportunity to update the public, clarify results, and demonstrate accountability. Boeing’s absence has raised questions: were they preoccupied with post-mission complications? Were they still upset over previous decisions by NASA? Or, more simply, were they too embarrassed by the mission’s outcome to face public scrutiny? Whatever the reasoning, their decision not to appear at the press event sent a strong message of frustration and possibly embarrassment.

To be resolved, thank you.

Disliked for lying on the title. Why lie like that?

Starliner should have never flown in the first place. Far too many unresolved issues leading up to launch. NASA and Bill Nelson must be held accountable. This irrespective of how solvent the entire program has become.

if Boeing cancels the Starliner contract, they should have to pay back all of the money that has been wasted on this program.

Clickbait. No such decision has been made.

Cancelling Starliner would probably be for the best for everyone involved. Projects should be allowed to fail or succeed on their merit. NASA's budget is also not what it used to be in the 60s. That said, I kinda hope they don't cancel it, if only to maintain the illusion of competition so that SpaceX doesn't quadruple their prices over night. 😆

If they cancel the Starliner program, they should also consider canceling the SLS or transferring it to a company capable of managing the program, such as SpaceX.

I would like Boeing to answer a questions:

1. We have been launching spacecraft with thrusters that work for years. Surely we (Boeing) should know how to do it by now?
2. How experienced was the developers and builders? (Newbes with litter experience?)
3. How much was managed by engineers and how much by drones?

If Boeing made hammers I’d opt for one from the thrift store.

If they want to try Starliner again, let’s make sure Mr. NASA goes along for the ride!

Overall, I like the channel, but the title is not just misleading, it's a lie. DON'T LIE!

It's always good to have competition, but Boeing vs SpaceX is like a MLB team vs a High School mid level team. It's really not real competition unfortunately.
