Because its used you don't know if there's anything wrong with it and therefore could be defective or even considered not up to code!

Baby resale stores are great for baby clothes because babys grow out of there clothes so fast many of them are very gently used! 😊

I know there are bamboo diapers that are disposable but they decompose really quickly. I’ve heard they are very soft and work well. They aren’t made with plastics so it would be a good option. Obviously cloth diapers would probably be your preferred choice, but they would be a good backup to have in case you’re in public or traveling.

Just an FYI, never buy a secondhand car seat for baby, they should actually be gotten rid of after your baby stops using them (I know it's a waste but there's a high chance of them having faults if they're used for too long and it's just dangerous in general)

This video just randomly popped up in my feed but just wanted to share what I saw in a lawsuit article last week- never let baby sleep for even a minute on those lounger things, there’s been several deaths reported. They’re NEVER for sleeping even though they’re comfy! ❤ best of luck with your pregnancy!

My mom has had little twins and with them being the last, she's constantly giving baby stuff away. We even take it back to the baby store where she got most of it from. Most people especially in a small neighborhood don't like hand-me-downs but but most of it isn't even worn.

Yesss we got our whole nursery second hand! It’s amazing how much used baby stuff is out there. Especially in the US, I feel like due to baby showers a lotta folks get I needed gifts and then just sell them. We even did our crib and car seat second hand.

The only new thing we bought for either of our babies was a car seat. My mom loves garage sales and thrift stores and I was living in an affluent area where ppl would sell things for super cheap on FB marketplace. And we had an older cousin for hand me downs. It felt really nice to have given everything a second (or third, fourth...) life. We gave almost everything away when we were done with it.
