I remember POD bots for 1.3 were even more difficult than bots in 1.6 everybody keep talking about. They were just aimbot plain and simple and the difficulty setting was basically time before you die in milliseconds and how good it sees and hears to shoot you through the walls. I didn't have internet back then, so I actually did waypoint mapping for maps where those bots were missing and played for years against those maniacs, sometimes with my friend over modem, so 2 vs 10-15 bots (basically a horror-survival game). When I went to university and finally got the internet I realized that those bots were really more difficult than 99% of people and I was easily keeping top places in any gungames or deathmatches up to CSS on maps I knew. But then I got bored with CS and just abandoned the game somewhere around CS GO release.

Today just out of interest I tried CS 2 and bots are just a joke, you can mown down infinite amounts of them and settings don't seem to affect them at all. What the heck happened to CS bots, why did they make them so slow?
