MXR Layers Demo

The MXR Layers takes an alternate approach to adding sustain and ethereal space to your sound. Like the name implies, one or 3 layers of captured, high-fidelity audio can be molded to your taste using the fooswitch, from simple piano sustain pedal effects to infinite notes and chords. The basic parameters let you determine fade in and decay length and wet dry mix. Plus, you can tell Layers to latch on and sustain with the onboard footswitch or trigger automatically with your input signal and dynamics.

really glad to see more big manufacturer dive into these sample and hold type of pedal, give us another option of doing ambient thing not just stacking reverb delay. for me that layer function is very versatile. it capture inputs not note. so you can easily switching between single clean sound and lush chord. Limited to three layer is a great sulotion to not make sound into total chaos and controllable. Thanks Andy!! another great demo.

MXR seems to be trying to update and upgrade some older, popular but flawed effects, something I've long wondered why no one had addressed.
It's always good to have more options, be they always sucessful or up to a level that you were hoping for or not.
