@Mark Shaffer, I have a samsung s8+ that boot looped 4 times then stopped when i hard reset it. dead ever since. however when i place the phone on a wireless charger the lightning bolt icon appears but it doesn't animate beyond that. Can you help me, there is data I need to recover and not sure where to go to get the phone fixed.

OMG I would be completely embarrassed if i was either of those two shops he took it to. A 6th grader could have seen the amp draw with dc direct to board and known there is a short after watching a few ipadrehab videos or many other of the decent online repair youtubers. If the guy was charged by either of the two shops for telling him to replace pmic he need to get a refund SMH

Had alot of Samsungs (s6, S7, S8) all stuck on dcps at between 170 and 380mA after prompt to boot. Only things getting warm are pmic and CPU (and some coils in between). Maybe you know a solution for this Problem from experience? Its always the kinda same problem, 2 or 3 CPU Outputs from pmic are lower than they should, but changing the pmic hadn‘t improved anything in the past

Bro its not an iphone
You can remove the emmc
And use the adapter and correct box like easy jtag to extract the data without the mother board 😎
