On the question of beauty; what mythological narrative can we find useful to affirm life after the death of God from Nietzsche and to reawaken the nihilistic existence of today that is heading toward a tech "utopia" which aims to trap us inside a matrix of passive, totalitarian consumerism.

"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, and then you read. It was Dostoevsky and Dickens who taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who ever had been alive. Only if we face these open wounds in ourselves can we understand them in other people." - J.A. Baldwin, 1963 - Interview with Life Magazine

Duality was perhaps the first concept of which I became aware

Interesting question. If you equate God to the highest good, then I don't think the pursuit of existence is to become that which we are not but rather to realize that which we already are. "As God is perfect in His high sphere of action, so man may be perfect in his human sphere."

Very interesting videos. The titles are enticing as I think about these things often but your videos they are complicated so I have to re-watch them. In September I go to university to study philosophy hopefully then I will slowly become more on your level.

We're already God. There's no separation between the "knower" and the "known". That is the basic error of duality, which assumes the perceptual point of observation. Actually, the subjective and the objective are one and the same. To say otherwise is merely to be arbitrary. All seeming separation is an artifact of thought. The mind is at all times experiencing a point of view. These bodies are a filter. The world is a mirror.

I have been trying to start my own movement that recognizes God as a metaphor for Truth and uses the idealized self, what you'd be if you did what must be done when it must be done without complaint, at every opportunity without fail as an avatar of God to strive for. It's an unattainable goal, but that's the purpose. Man is at his best when striving, and his worst after losing his goal, so a goal constantly just out of reach but close enough to continually strive for is ideal.

The death of Pan was the death of a schizophrenic set of values. I do agree with his assessment of the gnostic corruption of the Christian ideal of Jesus. The hybrid of Christian view of soul should return to it's combination of the eternal soul with the mortal flesh as being the importance of the individual. Much of Nietzsche's work I do find interesting but tainted although I am working on second hand knowledge and need to read his writings myself to see his genius and madness myself.

Could you do a video on Diogenes and the Cynics? They seem like perfect exemplars of embodying the "philosophy of the body", no pun intended. Add to that the many hilarious tales about Diogenes and his constant challenging of traditional customs and disregard for authority; traits we could certainly use more of in our current normie-conformy society.

In order to remain happy, one must contemplate truth and beauty from a far. I don’t think authentic beauty can be actualized within oneself without first encountering suffering and despair. Our modern society guarantees happiness and conforms at the expense of beauty and truth.

God is something forever out of our reach. He is the ideal, the perfect that we come closer to but never reach, all knowing, all powerful, all present, all good.
To say that God is anything less than that is to make God a relative term.

I believe humanity has huge potential, but even if/when we can throw solar systems with our bare hands, there still will be an infinite gap in all things between us and God.

Too much work becoming a god. I’d rather drink 🍺 and grow my flowers 💐 You seem like a young man. Deep stuff. Don’t forget to have some fun 🤩 “A rich and powerful soul not only gets over painful and even terrible losses, deprivations, robberies, and insults: it actually leaves such dark infernos in possession of still greater plenitude and power; and, what is most important of all, in possession of an increased blissfulness in love. I believe that he who has divined something of the most fundamental conditions of love, will understand Dante for having written over the door of his Inferno: "I also am the creation of eternal love."
