China's artificial womb success

A research team from Zhengzhou University in China has developed an "artificial womb" using a brand-new technique. In the experiment, a 4-month-old sheep fetus was able to survive in the artificial womb for 90 minutes. Unlike previous artificial womb experiments, this new technique does not negatively impact heart and lung development. The invention is expected to help people with uterine issues have children and increase the survival chances of prematurely born babies.
