This song is Rob Halford's greatest creation. The song can mean many things to many people but it speaks to the truths that we all have to face. It speaks of paralyzing pain, for me it is the pain I suffer from a severe spine injury. Many surgeries and attempts to cure the pain has had little or no effect so therefore it is chronic and until I die. The needle in my heart is the point in time when I finally succumb to age, illness and pain and my heart stops, doctors use intra cardiac injections (needles in my heart) to attempt to bring me back to life to no avail. My life passes before me in those thousands of faces, the Devil appears before me at my moment of death to attempt to take my soul but in the end I'm still killing pain. In the end my final destiny in heaven is where I find my resolution to end my pain. I have asked my wife to play this song at my funeral and she just looked weirdly at me. This is my song of my fight, the journey of killing pain, it is the most important thing I live for is the end of my chronic pain! \m/ Metal for Life!

Resurrection is one of the greatest albums Rob Halford has ever done. Every song on it is amazing, especially Silent Screams. I love all four studio albums that Halford has released so far but Resurrection is by far my favorite . This album is one of the greatest Heavy Metal albums ever!!
