As others have mentioned: 1965. Live performance. No autotune, no sophisticated audio filters, no retakes or dubbing. Just pure, raw, disciplined talent. I wish we had music and singers like this today.

You've lost that loving feeling is probably their most popular song. Definitely a good listen

This was always a song that Bobby sang alone. Bill sings in all the other Righteous Brothers songs. Bobby does an amazing job on this song . Bobby Hatfield & Bill Medley😊

Another version of this video has the intro to the song with both Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield (this singer) with Andy Williams, the host of the TV show where this performance was broadcast, talking about their name and who was selected to sing this. I remember watching this performance on television when it was broadcast because my parents were huge Andy Williams fans and never missed a show. Our babysitter who lived next door came over to watch because she loved the Righteous Bros. Her mom wouldn't allow a TV in the house. Loved your reaction, this song has a great deal of magic to it. Spread the love, thanks!

No falsetto, he was a rare counter tenor, gave him a huge range naturally. He was early twenties, first time on tv, orchestra in next room, mum in audience, getting over a head cold. No pressure? huh, nailed it. These guys always did a solo on each album. Listen to his Summertime?

I WAS 16 WHEN BOBBY SANG THIS SONG - I KISSED MY FIRST GIRLFRIEND WHILE DOING A SLOW DANCE ON THIS SONG - I BELIEVE THAT MORE PEOPLE FELL IN LOVE AFTER DANCING ON THIS SONG, THAN ANY OTHER SONG IN HISTORY !! BOBBY's SONG CHANGED DRAMATICALLY WHAT WAS PLAYED AT A DANCE, EVEN FOR TEENAGERS LIKE ME AT THAT TIME - 1965 THANKS BOYD, FOR THE WONDERFUL NOSTALGIA IT BRINGS !!!!

When Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield began to perform as a duo, at the end of one of their concerts, a man stood up and said “That’s righteous, brother!”
And that’s where they got their name.

This was a live performance on the Andy Williams show. His mom was in the audience at this performance. His little lip bite at the end reminds me f a little boy trying to impress his mom. so sweet.

Fantastic range and control, simply top tier.
You have never reacted to another fantastic voice, Eva Cassidy, her vocal range and ability to bring out every emotion in any song is just equaled. Her best know song was done live in one take, a master piece!

Bobby sang this on the Andy Williams Valentine Day special, hence the coral-colored suit jacket. I saw this special on TV when I was 22 y.o., almost 60 years ago! There was a spike in births about nine months after Bobby sang his anthem. His performance was perfect. The other brother (Bill Medley) was standing in the wings. Usually they sang duets.

i got see Bobby sing this live at the beach in Newport Beach Calif. had to stand abou 15 ft. from the stage. One of great things about growing up in that area was all the great music. Yes it was a duo but there were some song they did that only one of them sang.

~ I just stumbled onto your channel and saw this review of Bobby Hatfield's rendition of "Unchained Melody".
Bobby Hatfield was an amazing singer - even back when singer's viewed their voices as instraments - Bobby was considered a master of his instrament! 💝

Yes, there are two brothers namely Bobby Hatley (the main and only singer of this song Unchained Melody) then the other brother's name is Billy Hatley together they are known as Righteous Brothers.
You can search these songs titled "Soul and Inspiration" and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling", where both brothers (Billy the tall one and Bobby the shorter one) sang together.
Good luck and enjoy watching and listening friends.
Greetings from California U.S.A, Eddie.🤗👋🙋‍♂️👍
