“You make it your wedding song.” When my daughter was 10 years old we were listening to the BeeGees’Too Much Heaven’ in the car. My daughter said, “Dad would you dance this song with me at my wedding?” “Absolutely” I told her. 20 years later on 12/31/19, I fulfilled that promise to her at her wedding when she & I danced to this beautiful song.

Wow as someone who grew up in the 70s, it boggles my mind that there are people that still haven’t heard it. It’s one of the greatest songs ever written and performed. I’m happy to see this, it’s a great thing to see someone as young as you appreciates and respects it.

Absolutely love the Bee Gees. There will never be another band like them. Their harmonies were beautiful. Love all their music. ❤

here is a sweet, interesting fun fact: The Bee Gees donated all the publishing royalties of "Too Much Heaven" to UNICEF, in honor of the International Year Of the Child (1979).

One of my favourite Bee Gee songs. It was wonderful that you did not interrupt the song - you waited until the end to comment…thank you

It’s pretty cool to see the younger generations taking the initiative to explore music that was before their time.

Another testament to the timelessness of music.

It gets better when you can understand the era in to the music from which it was created.

The world was much different then - less politically polarized and people actually engaged in conversations. People didn’t define themselves politically and put up barriers if another persons political views were different from their own.

It was a time of discovery through a more broad lens of love that was more important than politics.

The music of the 70s defined America at the time it was healing from the Vietnam war.

Watching your reaction was PRICELESS. Try "MORE THAN A WOMAN" by the BeeGees & "HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE" but I'll warn you that ANYTHING by the BeeGees is "angelic" as you put it! 👍🙏👌

This is BY FAR my favorite reaction to this Bee Gee song.
Firstly because you didn't continually pause and comment all the way through.
I believe that Barry's music is Divinely inspired ✨️
Angelic is a lovely description.
I cry everytime I listen to this music 🎶
Thank you for loving this 💖
My music growing up in this time. Beautiful music we had then.❤

I grew up with the music of the 70's, and I feel so fortunate. looking back on it, and sharing it with my children, and seeing younger folks hearing it for the first time, gives me goosebumps. I had tears as well, so beautiful. Great reaction.

I was 13 years old when this song came out, so I'm old. Yet, I got very emotional watching your reaction. It's beautiful, isn't it?

The Bee Gees (among the most successful groups of all time) wrote & released Too Much Heaven in 1978. It was climbing charts world wide (already #1 in US & Canada, #3 in UK) before the Jan 1979 fundraiser, “Music for UNICEF.” They then donated, in perpetuity, ALL their royalties, not just from the UNICEF event, merch & compilation album (as the other bands did, though some just for a limited time), but also their publishing rights. So, UNICEF continues to get paid, from anyone’s version & any use (including in movies, TV, commercials, etc). As the 1st band to make such a donation to charity, they were recognized for it by UN Secretary General, Kurt Waldheim & invited to the White House by President Carter. The last official tally I saw was 2011, saying UNICEF had received more than 10 million British pounds from it, for emergency food & healthcare. I’ve seen others post it hit 20 million as of 2019, but I haven’t found an official source for that.

The Bee Gees were the Best. Their voices were absolutely beautiful, especially Barry and his falsetto. You don't hear voices like this today. So gifted, so talented and pure raw talent. No auto tune, no yelling and screaming, they Just could sing and the Harmony was ridiculous! Amazing, amazing voices from God!❤❤😊😊❤❤😊😊

You cannot go wrong with The Bee Gees. Any of their songs will be amazing for you to experience. Older stuff like Masachusets and Words, I started a joke, as well as their more popular songs like Staying alive and How deep is your love. They are all awesome songs you will, almost certainly, love. Dive on in, ma'am, the 'water' is beautiful.

Being brothers, the BeeGees had genetically similar vocal apparatuses and their vibratos were synced in a physical way... their pitch was spot on too. Wonderful musicians. Meaningful lyrics.

I graduated high school about the time this song was popular. I’m sorry your generation has nothing that compares. Your appreciation of the Bee Gees is touching. ❤
