Served with Adam Finseth in Iraq, one of the best dudes I've ever known and he was the glue that held our platoon together during that tour. We had a mini-platoon reunion last year and we learned he was fighting cancer as well. To make it throught 2 Iraq tours, Cancer, and then this. Prayers to his family. All the guys he served with are in shock...

I went to High School with Paul, he was a year younger I think. He was a really nice kid and always wanted to be a cop from what I can remember. Like he was always nice and happy, i never saw him be rude or anything. Its good to know you were able to follow your dreams Paul, but sad to find out this way. RIP man, you were definitely the kind of cop the world needs right now. Im sure you would be proud to know youre among the ranks of other heroes. Wish I could come back to MN to pay my respects.

I grew up in Burnsville. My parents still live there. It's crazy to hear about this happening in such a "safe" family friendly community. I've never been a big fan of law enforcement, but I also recognize that these are human lives that were needlessly taken. My heart goes out to their families and friends.
