Here's how to make a lucky paper star, or origami lucky star. This is a longer version of my other paper star or lucky star video. In this one I've included more detail, speaking, and I show another way of puffing them out. So.. I think will help anyone who has been having a tough time with these. Let me know in the comments how you get on.

I would suggest making lots of these and be prepared for the first several not to work..they look easier to make than they are and so.. like lots of things in life, it takes practice.

You can either buy paper strips especially made for making lucky stars or you can cut your own from printer paper or any similar thickness paper you have. Try out different kinds of paper for different effects, and as I've said in the video, you may find one type of paper easier to fold with than another. Wrapping paper is good for these too and you can make stars to coordinate with your gifts - perhaps make a gift tag with them.

I remember having a jar of paper stars. They were very valuable to me for some reason, but when I lost them I forgot about them. I have just recently seen an idea of something similar to this that reminded me of the paper stars. I would like to recreate them!

Mhm, I thought this was east but BOY was I right! NO! I wasn’t right.
