If this was BL3, Joltz would've gotten a legendary item in a vending machine within 30 minutes.
Also, I hope that Sniper Salvador didn't join Dahl Maya and Bandit Gaige in the void.

In my over 400 hours of BL2 I think I saw a legendary in a vendor once and was baffled that it was even possible. Bl3 released and I found one in like the 10th vendor I checked. Thought I was extremely lucky, but before I was level 30 I had already found like 10 more legendaries in vendors alone.

Bl3 really took the rarity out of legendaries and they didn't even add in pearls or the rainbow rarity to still give you something rarer to freak out over from time to time.

In all my time playing Borderlands 2 I've NEVER seen a legendary in a vendor. I commend your commitment to the farm!

I can only recall getting a legendary in a vendor once. It was the gun Joltz won't name, and I got it farming Boll.

One of the worst things that I have ever had happen to me in BL2 is when I was planning on doing a vladof only run. In the fight for sanctuary DLC vendor there was a lyuda...but I didn't have enough money to afford it.😞 It was the only legendary weapon I've ever seen in a vendor.

I've always wondered about their odds. In over 1k hours play time, I've only ever gotten one legendary. It was a Salvador class mod from assault on dragon keep dlc. Before that, I always assumed legendary items didn't come from vendors. Thanks for putting in the research.

My first ever legendary was a shock pitchfork from a vendor! Gun vendor machine in Sanctuary right outside of the crimson lance HQ. I’m sure if i logged back into that xbox 360 save it would still be sitting in the vault haha

Excellent video, i've only ever seen 3 legendaries in vendors during my time playing BL2, a WTF shield, a bouncing bonny grenade & a fire bee over numerous playthroughs

In my over 1000hrs in BL2 I have only seen a legendary from a vendor 2 times, once was a pyrophobia and I cried

9/26/24 there was a Conference Call in Sanctuary. He was lvl 78 and I was 80 so it made the gun lvl 78 and it cost $60M. I let him buy it, it was still rock solid though. He also got a Pearl from a random Skag like 30 minutes before that in the same session in Aris Nexus. It was just the 2 of us in the session. It was a pistol that had mad ricochet effects.

Dude Joltz! I remember doing an ultimate Sal playthrough and upon entering Opportunity for the first time, I found an Unkempt Harold in the weapon vending machine at Level 22. I was so shocked as it was my first time getting a legendary in BL2 from a vending machine! Loving the effort!

Not sure it's possible, but getting a legendary pistol out of a cardboard box or cooler would be insane. Also on the topic of hyperion e-tech pistols, I managed to get a non-elemental e-tech hyperion pistol with the diamond prefix from butt stalion during a run years ago and haven't seen another since. Unsure how rare they are but thought it would be cool to share. Love your videos bro, keep up the good work!

When BL2 first came out I played the vanilla version for years with no patches. The 1st legendary I ever found was in the Caustic Caverns and it was a legendary Siren Class mod! It was the ONLY legendary I’d stumbled across at the time so I thought they only came from vendors. Lol. How naive I was. People truly don’t understand the benefit of the internet sometimes. Lol. I had NONE when I first started playing BL2 so you all could imagine my surprise when I saw you could farm legendary weapons, shields and class mods! ROFL!
