This is the real Pete. I use my double kick pedal on one kick for consistency. I use a shure beta 91 inside microphone along with whatever the venue has. Usually a D6 or Beta 52. This makes for a much quicker sound check and most sound guys like this better than trying to get a consistent tone from both kick drums, which can be difficult or impossible to do if they only have one kick drum mic too. If I used triggers, I could get away with using both kick drums however I like the sound of natural kick drums. Havok songs are at the aspired where I can still get all of my power down with my feet without needing the use of triggers.

Thrash is definitely going through a revival right now.  These bands are so tight musically it takes about 1 minute before I want to drink every beer and destroy everything in a mile radius.  Love these guys.

I met him and he's a super short dude haha, but damn, he's a friggen beast at drums. All of Havok members are so good at what they do, I almost knocked out their guitarist while Strike Of The Beast by Exodus was playing. He went into the wall of death with us, but he was drunk af and he crashed against me and fell lol.
