Whether you are a photographer who does it professionally or an amateur who needs to know how to shoot flat lay clothing, it's a good idea to know some main principles involved in product photography.

In this video, you will see the flat lay photography process from two perspectives – Adam, the amateur photographer, and Mike, a professional using a dedicated machine for flat lay photography.

Whenever I take photos of lighter clothes on a white background I am unable to balance the colors. The color of the clothe becomes too washed out and the background too white. I use a canon G7x mark 4 with ring light as my source of light. Any tips how to get the colors to pop?
