i actually wiped sometimes with animal king, and still had it, at a moment i thought it was infinite but i lost it in my newer save

I have gotten animal king multiple times before trial of one was even in the game. I was a freshie who couldn't even kill a sharko yet, so it's definitely not related to monsters.

After looking at almost every single comment I have aquired a theory.
Animal king conditions are unique and created when a slot is created.
The requirements are most likely chosen from a random pool with examples like.
"Die to xyz, kill xyz live for x amount of time, chose a certain flaw or boon, wipe x amount of times. ect"
Mute is gained on the next character once the conditions are fulfilled but there is most likely ways to undo a previously checked condition or there are "anti-conditions" that remove mute on wipe and all the base conditions have to be refilled or are changed.

1:47 Yeah I think I agree with this the most, I actually got animal king on a galebreathe build, and I did nothing to get it, didnt wipe to anything special, just jumped off into the void after failing a trial of one, went back into the game to retry trial of one, and got animal king. Unfortunately the build had to wipe because my luck on it was literally awful, 43% luck the whole time and only got adept, mark of the lone warrior, and ghost, missed almost every wanted talent, so I wiped, and for those of your thinking you can have animal king permanently after it is obtained once, you are wrong, I lost it forever.

My theory is that it has something to do with flaws and boons and the more flaws you have the higher chance it is i remember arch said something about it. The only reason why i think that is the case cuz i have a bank acc when i bought a slot first character i had somehow spawned with animal king i never wiped on that slot

I think regalias like animal king would have a unique ability, for example monsters not attacking you first, but it would also have a slight downside, like for example since having a bell is “resonating with the song”, since animal king is actually called “mute” then it would be like it would be much harder to get a bell or like you would be able to obtain one but it would always be tarnished and you can’t get rid of the tarnished. Would be cool

There was a time when I did a trial of one: every time I killed a mob, I got additional health without having a talent. The coolest thing about it was that even if I was fighting a player (red skull above my screen), I could still gain additional health from other mobs.

I hope you can ask the developers and send an update to me, Agamatsu long live!

Honestly I barely did depths and found animal king in my next life after suicide charging 2 Owls so my friend can get past the slope gate and thinking they were bugged, the realization soon after created server wide chaos

When I got animal king, I beat trial of one, didnt like my build so I went to depths, killed 2 jellyfish, and what is Interesting is that I died to the void right when I fell off. I didnt fall all the way to the kill bricks. I fell at the same spot on a different slot and I went all the way to the bottom. If my writing on mobile is confusing the point is the void killed me sooner in a spot when I had animal king than a slot where I didnt have animal King.

I had a bank account that had animal king at the start I didn't know, but later on when I changed bank accounts I started farming and realized I had animal king and a bit later got adept. p.s this account got me a lot of good enchants... It has long been wiped now. R.I.P

I think it’s just random on spawn. I got animal king twice, both times I just jumped off etris right after char creation and went to depths and found out I had it.

My theory on animal king is on slot creation you have a random chance to get a animal king however it is really small, but things such as trial of one completion, wiping to monsters, will increase this chance over lifetimes. And I think wiping at higher powers to monsters would increase this chance, and there may be certain monsters that give more of a chance to get animal king. At the end of the day its just chance and doing these things would only higher it a little.

Yo Aga! This is probably important, but I got animal king on a completely fresh new slot. 1st Character on that slot, and it spawned in with Animal King. Pretty sure this disproves that there is an 'obtainable method' for it

So I was thinking (my comment will probably not be seen) if the devs said they aren’t random, then yeah I think that it definitely has something to do with boons and flaws. I had a cool theory that if you pick two flaws and one noon then you have a higher chance of mute. Haven’t tested it though!

Seems accurate, does make sense that it might be "X% on slot creation, do X kill Y etc"

As i was watching agamatsu as i wipe my khan build i got animal king like what are the odds

my friend who hated deepwoken was about to wipe and decided to kill himself by fighting a sharko but my friend told him to stop after he saw that my friend wasn't being agro'd by the sharko, so I think there are some things you can do to increase the chance of animal king but you can still get lucky and get it on a new save.

Actually, there's another regalia call termite.
Basically you can eat anything that's green and in your inventory you can probably eat rocks or something like that.
