Did you see strange lights in the night sky? Here’s what that was

An odd line of lights in the sky appeared over the Portland area Friday night, and it did so again Saturday. Sadly, we can confirm that it isn't aliens — it’s a new batch of Starlink satellites, recently launched by SpaceX.

I saw a similar line of lights go across the sky this evening at 7:45 pm EST in Southern New Jersey. I was not expecting this and was out in my back yard and happened to look up in the night sky to see a straight line of white lights streaming across the sky. The were not all evenly spaces apart but all travelled at the same speed. I didn't count them but a rough estimate would be about 20 to 30 lights that I saw. There was no sound. My first inclination was that I witnesses some sort of meteor phenomenon. UFO's were the last thing I suspected but the found out about the satellites. So cool that I got to witness this and hope I get to see ti again.

I was lucky enough to get a good look at this passing by a forest not far from where I lived. To me, at least, it seemed to be rotating.

I was camping with my buddies out in eastern Washington this weekend, and we saw it while we at our campfire. I was the first one to notice and it was the first time in my life I had a genuine, “What the actual FUCK is that?” I literally thought it was a C-RAM missile defense system at first, or some sort of orbital weapon, and my heart dropped. But my friend, Blake, who is a total nerd explained what it was and how it works. I was amazed.

I just saw this around 9:45 in South Texas. They looked like a normal star and then it started expanding until it faded away.

I just saw this at 5:27am near the boarder of Victoria, NSW. Just as I got in my car I liked up to the night sky and saw a line of unusual uniformed “stars”. Its seems I got lucky to have a chance to see this!

I live in China, but when I played with the astronomical telescope at night, I saw a white straight line that was faster than anything on the earth. It flew from the sky for only 1 to 2 seconds and ran through the whole sky I could see

As I’m watching this trying to find information, I just saw a Blinking Blue light, but it completely defied physics, at first I thought maybe a satellite, a helicopter (military USA, SAT), but this object leaped left to right, up and down.
