I never refused a load. As a result, I received priority and 1st choice of loads.

Sometimes you take a crap load. But as long as they remember you for the good loads.

That’s not the tip of the iceberg…What about when dispatch asks you to run on a flat?? Or pickup another load when your outta time?? What if they don’t pay you because their being vindictive, or booking late pickup and expecting on time delivery with no delays?? Or unfit equipment with holes in trailers?? The rabbit hole runs deep with these umbrella companies.. beware..

I never refuse a load, but if it's a short stop I call up the puppet masters to stack a long run on me. It's not all about you driver. Not every load can be coast to coast. Being a team player can really help out, but be vigilant not to be the fall guy for the left overs.

This is one of the reasons I like to search & book my own loads. I go where I want.

What’s wrong with North Carolina? Send him to Atlanta at 7am

There are some loads I will refuse due to location or a spot that I just don't have the skill to pull into or back into. Blindside backing I refuse to do unless someone can spot me and help me out. I don't trust myself to blindside back

That driver is an idiot for refusing a load that delivers to North Carolina. A LOT of freight with good miles ships out of there!

I always loved the new hires that say, I'm a runner. Lucky to get a month out of them.

Constantly have drivers like this. I make it sound like they’re doing me a favor and tell them the next one will be a good load. Keeps all my drivers happy

My best paying loads are the shortest...and one of them is in a SC driver, i sound like this guy on Fridays- "No No I cant do North Carolina, NO NC!"

Firing the dispatcher this weekend, learnt the craft! Gonna go ahead and do it ourselves

Funnily enough I just did a North Carolina to Wisconsin run. The miles are decent, so no clue who would reject that.

CDL driver here, currently on the motor coach side of things but the supplies to anything commercial, if you're that person that never refuses a run or a load you're going to be the go-to person that they're going to go to if things ever slow down they're going to give you priority or everybody else as well as prioritize you for the good loads when they do come in. As long as you're there to help your dispatcher and you work as a team with them your dispatcher will return the favor if you have a good one
