I got my GED at 18 after dropping out of school when I was 16. I was surprised at how easy schoolwork was when I actually tried to learn. I went to prep classes every morning and afternoon for 2 weeks. I borrowed books and asked for worksheets to take home and spent all my time studying and learning those 2 weeks. The instructor was impressed with me and said I was ready to take the test. She offered to pay for my test and said I didn't have to pay her back as long as I passed. I took my test and passed easily. I'm still proud of that.

I dropped when I was 16 and immediately got my GED. I also live in a part of the country where if you get your GED before you turn 18, they issue you a diploma from the county instead. It was liberating.

Congratulations on such a big accomplishment! 👩🏼‍🎓 This is the second video of yours I’ve watched, and I think it’s great that you’re investing in your channel with new equipment. Keep going as long for as long as this is what you want to do—your videos are good. Just some unsolicited advice from a random person on the internet. 😁

Homeschooling really do be where it's at though. I've been homeschooled since second grade and it allowed me to start doing only college classes while only a junior.

I got my burnout in college, but like in your situation I was also thankful to be able to finish it without taking a full pause, unfornatelly a year after while trying to stabilize Covid hit and yeah... My depression went to even more cryppling stages than before, for now trying to get at least a full week of not going way down, thanks for sharing your story, also congrats on the jackfilms summary video's success 🙌🙌

It's courageous of you to share your journey to getting a GED, but I've got a few questions that I'm sure others might be thinking too. While your struggles with traditional schooling led you to the GED path, do you think these challenges might be unique to your situation? Also, how do you know that self-guided study through homeschooling has prepared you well enough for higher education or a job? You've provided some tips, but what works for you might not work for everyone else. Lastly, have you considered the long-term benefits or drawbacks of having a GED versus a traditional high school diploma? Just some food for thought!
