My mom read this book to me all the time as a child, both of us would start bawling at the end of it. As a 28 year old man this story still gets to me. It's a timeless classic.

I love this book. I’m 29 and remember it from my childhood as well! I loved it then, I love it now, I love that it was on Friends....and just last night my mom suggested I find a video of a good bedtime story to listen to to fall asleep (always had trouble falling asleep my whole life), and I tried explaining ASMR to her (since I’ve been an avid listener the last 8 years) and when she mentioned this book I said “I bet someone has whispered this story for ASMR, ” and low and behold I found this video!

This is, so weird that I cam across this vid. I just said to my 17 yr old son that I would always read him this particular book. I have 4 boys now and I still walk around say.. " I like you for always.. I'll love you forever... As long as I'm living my baby you'll be" ...awesome video especially when someone whispers it to me !! 😥

I just finished the video and I was bawling tears at the end I cry everytime my mom would always read this. Some days she sang the song when I was around and I never quite knew what is was from but it always rang a bell and now I saw this. Thank you soo much
