The higher register genuinely makes it sound like an Elven song, gives it a completely different feel. The deeper register sounds more angry, the higher more sorrowful

The first half sounds like an actual Dwarven woman singing the song of her cast away people. The second half sounds like the ghosts of the mist or the elusive Fae echoing their song. Both parts sound absolutely divine!

Used to work security at a university, the number of time i happened upon people doing this is crazy, its trippy hearing something like this at 3 am in an empty building.

Honestly I'm more impressed with the stairwell. I've been in cathedrals with worse acoustics. That echo creates an almost perfect reverb.

As Lauren sings Misty mountains, a LotR fan casually walks across the stairway, hears the song echo hauntingly, in that instant they realize LotR is real and Thorin`s company is passing through with an elf singing a dwarf song!

Most people don't know this, but even though sopranos have naturally higher registers they are expected to be able to sing in the lower registers. This is especially needed and sought after when singing in choirs.

I'd actually love to hear both versions overlayed on each other, the lower register and the higher echoing register at once, cause both were lovely in different ways (someone else described it as a dwarven woman singing and the Fae echoing her and that's so apt actually) and I think they'd sound even more lovely together!
