Cherry Picking DoorDash Orders is DEAD!

DoorDash and Uber Eats and even GrubHub now need to have every order accepted to make any money. Cherry picking orders does not work,

That’s why I took a new job. DoorDash isn’t worth it anymore and Uber too. I can’t make a living with only 300-400/week 🙂‍↔️

Cherry picking is absolutely not dead. I see constant offers of $2-4 going 8-10 miles so I decline a lot of offers. By cherry picking I can maintain $1.25/mi or so. If I didn't cherry pick, I'd make like 50 cents per mile in my market which isn't worth doing.

I stopped doing DD because the offers are ridiculous. Seriously..consider ride share. I worked 9 to 5 in a city of 117k people and made 210 dollars..I could have make alot more I just decided to go home

Uber eats has that $15-$18 for 4 hours. They give you the higher amounts I've noticed. It works when its too slow.

Tampa native living in the Phillipines, we have something called Grab here, complete delivery fee here is just a little over a dollar with no tip expected. I'm pretty sure they only make about $5 a day. I always tip 50 pesos (about .90 cents) and they are VERY happy. I remember the good old days of doordash during the pandemic, I used to work your plaza and would go home everyday with at least $300. I moved over to the South Tampa area and over a couple of years it just became harder and harder to get decsent orders.

On Door Dash I believe the problem is that Dash Pass crap that they now launched in the Tampa area. The customers pay 9.99 a month and unlimited deliveries as long as they order $10 in food which is just about anything. So theres all your 2.00 orders for 8 miles and of course they feel their 9.99 covers everything so your lucky if you get a $1 tip. I cant believe people actually pick up orders like that. How desperate are people.

Man Spark has been complete trash in my area way too many drivers and it seems like they dropped the base pay on curbsides.

Chick-fil-A told me this morning that one of their big fryers are down and their food preparation is slowed down as well that’s why it’s taking 10 minutes or so to get DoorDash orders out the door
