When I was 21 I got a OWI and actually went through the same court system where this Judge is on the bench at. The judge I had cut me a huge break on a plea deal because I did have a job and I paid all my court costs same day along with my attorney I had. I think the judge cut me such a huge break because I wasn’t going through life as a complete bum and I was honest throughout the whole process. It was the most expensive lesson of my life and I’ve never done anything like it again. This was 15 years ago and I always appreciated what the judge did for me. Honesty and integrity goes a long way and that’s what judges like Judge Simpson here like to see. They see so much stupidity everyday the ones that come through like this guy here is what they like to see. I’ve met Judge Simpson before at events and he’s a good guy and the type of person you want sitting on the bench where you live. I’m glad he is where I’m at.

I remember when a $25 traffic ticket cost exactly $25. Now a $175 ticket can cost upwards of $600 in some jurisdictions.
