just started using a kitchen aid paddle mixer with rubber blades on the outside …. really scrapes down the side of the bowl and means you don’t have to scrape down the sides well at least as much !! i made some shortbread the other week and frankly i didn’t have to scrape the sides at all and they were thoroughly mixed … nice video as always … thank you 👍👍

Back in my day, we just called it a vanilla (or white) cake with butter cream.. always been my go-to cake when you aren't sure what flavor everyone will eat and you want to please everyone at dessert time - and in most homes - vanilla (or white) cake will be eaten by everyone!
