Hey! I saw the video and the whole time you kept the camera sensor exposed, aren't you afraid of dust getting in or is there a way you are able to prevent it??

I would absolutely love the cinema camera, but it's way to intense, I would never use have of what the camera could do, but it is super cool looking, very impressive. I could see why you would be asked if you had a permit to film, this camera looks like a televison stations camera that they go out and interview with. I got better at my lighting and just started to learn how to use my Lumix, lol. I am getting rid of my Gimbel, I just can't balance it, it's the Gimbel Crane, it sucks. Glad to see this cool video, Absolutely love it!

Many solid points, but what about A73 with its 8 bit and 2018 technology isn’t a fair comparison.

What about A7S3/S1H/BMPCC 6k pro with braw or ProRes raw?

Our channel has been using our iPhone 11 Pro Max and Sony Handycam for a while. We do a mix of vLog and scene style videos.

We are looking into upgrading to possibly a Sony Alpha 7 IV Mirrorless or similar to go next level on our video quality. Doing research now on what all the lenses, etc. technology/terminology means currently.

I appreciate you sharing your knowledge on this. - Derrick

I went the used route. Got a Sony FS700R, Atomos Shogun, and an 18-105mm lens all from EBay for $1500. I just want to hop into filmmaking like I planned to so many years ago as a teen. Just need a mic and lighting rig. Figured it would come out cheaper than just spending $1400 on a Panasonic GH6 body not including the lens. Have so much to relearn again.

I use a GH4... Old and somewhat outdated, but it has True C4K and shutter angle.

I have a Sony a7c and the fx30 is tempting. I only make talking head YouTube videos for now. Am I just being hyped up or there is a real benefit to add this cinema camera to my gear list? I also have an atomos ninja v which can save me from buying expensive memory cards…suggestions?

Great comparison, this is definitely overkill for most people

7:40 this is misleading as hell, the graphic is implying sensor size...

Well, the future of photography and cinematography is not DSLR/mirrorless or Cienma/video Cameras, rather is in computational photography/cinematography AKA Artificial Intelligence built into the camera software which for now is only being used in Smart phones and smart tablets. the AI in these smart devices do the job of a full frame cinema cameras and i can be argued even do better image quality for much much much cheaper price especially when you add the cost of a lens. For example, if you want to shoot a video with a nice bokeh quality, then beside the cost of the camera you need to pay $1000 or more for a good cinema camera lens to attach it to the camera to get the kind of image you desire. But with computational image processing the AI will do the job of the lens and the camera and all of that fits in your pocket. Right now, the smart device like iPhone is able to shoot RAW images which will give you much greater control in post processing and editing which used to be only available in high end cameras, thus smart phone filming has become more mainstream so much so that professionals are using them for their filming projects. Due to the capabilities of smart devices for photography and videography the sale of cameras has been decreased by at least 550 worldwide. So, unless the camera companies start INCLUDING computational based camera image processing the smart devices will be the future of photo and video cameras. Watch out for iPhone 14 coming out soon which will give you Astro photography capability with stunning image details of starts.
