Hi I love this review. I just wanted to explain trigger warnings a bit. They actually aren't for people who just don't want to read about a particular topic, that's more of a preference. Trigger warnings are for people with PTSD and if they encounter or read about a particular topic it can bring them back to that traumatic experiance and cause a massive panic attack. For example being raped or fighting in a war. It isn't simply a distaste for the subject it can be an incredibly vivid, violent reliving of that moment which obviously some people want to avoid. For that reason i think trigger warnings are important and isn't as simple as someone avoiding the bad parts of life. Hope that makes sense, love your videos :)

Interesting review! I'll have to pick up this series sometime. Trigger warnings actually started out as warning for contact that could trigger an episode in those with PTSD or issues from traumatic experiences such as rape or domestic abuse. The term gets used for a lot of other stuff these days, though.

These books sound so interesting and good, for my taste! I want theeem!

As for trigger warnings, I had no idea what those where before I started using the Books Amino app! xD But I think they have to do with knowing that X books contains a topic that may be hurtful or sensitive to some people. For instance, if I had a mental illness that I've been struggling with, it may be bad for me to read a book where a character has that same illness cause it may bring back bad memories or something, so a trigger warning would let me know that X book has that theme inside and I should stay away from it. I think these warnings have a lot to do with sensitive topics like anorexia, suicide, rape or stuff that may be hard on people who've experienced them and who may not want to read about them cause it may hurt them or make their conditions worse or something. So it kinda goes beyond the simple "dislike" of a subject or a genre, but it relates to something more deep, that may have to do with someone's psychological and even physical well being. :S

In any case, this series sounds like the type of books I like and Italian literature (what little I know about it) usually has that reflective air, so to speak... :)

Got the first book from the libary a couple of years ago but never got to read much of it. (And besides that I don't think i'm that good of a reader in english.) Recently bought the swedish edition and will probably start it soon.
