Ever since I was a little kid I've always wanted to live here. When ever I visited family there, I felt this place was my home. I've always felt trapped, unhappy and lonely living here in Staten Island NYC since childhood and it genuinely hurts whenever I had to come back home. I hope one day I can afford to leave staten island forever and live my life in Bucks County. I would

New Hope Pennsylvania is not a train town. I have been going to New Hope Pennsylvania since the 1970s since I grew up just a few miles away, and not one person has ever referred to New Hope as a train town. Just because there may be a train there doesn't make it a train town, probably almost every town in Pennsylvania has a train going through it, with a train station, that doesn't make them all train towns, railroads were a common mode of transportation in the 1800's. It is a Historical town built in 1715 it has a British feel to it and it's right next to Washington Crossing and Bowman's Tower along the Delaware River. The town was revived in the 1960s and 70s by local artist and the gay community. Many celebrities used to frequent New Hope like Paul Lynde, Kitty Carlisle, Sally Jesse Raphael, recent years Leonardo DiCaprio, Tina Fey ect. New Hope has a lot of unique restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, Art Galleries. There is the playhouse, the canal with the towpath, unique pubs, scenic walks along the Delaware River, there is Lambertville New Jersey across the bridge not far is also Peddlers Village. The entire area is just loaded with history and beauty. There are festivals and events. New Hope is most popular in the fall witb the colors of the leaves. I lived there in the mid-1980s and I would suggest visiting during the week since weekends are packed. It's a great place to visit for a couple days. New Hope is very unique.

The train used to be a steam locomotive but now just a smelly diesel. Not worth the money they charge in my opinion

My Wife & I will never EVER go to New Hope again. We parked in a residential area, just for when we went to a restaurant for a quick lunch, but was issued a parking ticket. Their were NO parking meters in sight. We found out later about the 'disguised' parking kiosks, which we never saw. To me, the City of New Hope obviously doesn't want our business. ATTENTION ANYONE CONTEMPLATING GOING TO NEW HOPE, PA!! GO ACROSS THE BRIDGE TO LAMBERTVILLE, NJ WHERE THEY DON'T PRACTICE PARKING TICKET ENTRAPMENT!!
